A pensioner has been fined after his parking caused an obstruction on Newlands Pass, Buttermere.
Peter Flynn, 80, of Low Northsceugh House, Armathwaite, was charged with parking his BMW car out on to the road at Newlands Pass, causing an unnecessary obstruction in that the vehicle was prohibiting the safe, free movement of traffic, on August 20.
Flynn pleaded not guilty to the offence, but was convicted at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court.
He was fined £144, with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
