More than 190 homes in Penrith are without electricity after a substation in the town burst into flames.
It was reported that the substation on Huntley Road ‘exploded and was on fire’ at around 7.30pm.
Electricity North West say the incident was reported to it at about 7.30pm and staff are currently on site now.
It affects 193 households and Electricity North West estimated that power will be restored at 10.30pm.
