Eden District Council and People and Places Insight are undertaking a Benchmarking review of Eden’s town centres.
Benchmarking has been carried out on over 350 locations across the United Kingdom and measures town centres in terms of commercial use, retail offer, footfall, car parking, business performance and confidence, shoppers’ origin and visitor satisfaction.
The results are used in a variety of ways, including; developing regeneration projects, attracting funding, measuring the impact of events and festivals, creating town centre partnerships, planning projects and promoting investment.
As part of the process, the following two-minute surveys have been devised to allow town centre users and non-users to provide their views about the different towns in Eden.
