A man has been injured in an unprovoked afternoon attack in Alston.
The incident happened yesterday, Thursday, October 10, in Market Place.
The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained a fractured eye socket in the attack by two males.
Police are appealing for information to help to identify the males and are looking for witnesses who may have been in the area during the afternoon.
