Firefighters tackled a fire at a popular Eden pub in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Penrith’s fire crew was called to the George and Dragon in Clifton at around 3.30am after it was discovered an outdoor storage compartment was on fire.
A Penrith Fire Station spokesman said: “Upon arrival crews discovered an outdoor storage compartment at the rear of the pub well alight and two breathing apparatus wearers were committed to extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.”
