Traffic is moving normally on the A66 after a collision earlier today caused delays.

The collision happened between the Rheged roundabout on the A592 and M6 Junction 40 near Penrith at around 10am.

The eastbound carriageway was initially closed, then partially blocked.

There was queueing traffic due to the incident and drivers were warned there were delays, but the road has now been cleared.
