The rate with which coronavirus has been spreading through Eden is highlighted in new data published by the Government.
According to the latest weekly analysis on COVID-19 transmission, there were 312 positive cases of coronavirus in Eden from 24th December to 30th December, which meant the district had a case rate of 585.9 per 100,000, the third highest in the North West region.
Carlisle was the highest with 832 cases, giving the city a case rate of 765.6 per 100,000.
Allerdale was 14th on the North West list, with a case rate of 397.9 per 100,000 (389 cases); South Lakeland had a case rate of 234.1 (246 cases) and the lowest in the region was Copeland with a case rate of 198 (135 cases).
