There has been a “real buzz” at a Penrith barber shop following its reopening after a devastating fire.
Top Cut Barber, in Middlegate, was forced to close after being gutted by a blaze caused by an electrical fault in July.
Salon owner Kos said they had worked hard to get it back open again and thanked customers for their support.
The shop has been a salon for seven years, being called Top Cut Barber until Kos took over as landlord a year ago and changed its name to Kos Cut Barber.
“I don’t have insurance so everything has been repaired by my own money,” said Kos, who added that it had cost a significant sum to do the renovation work.
The salon, which is open seven days a week, has now reopened under its former name, Top Cut Barber, which is what customers continued to call it.
