A woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after an incident on the M6.
The motorway was closed in both directions last night, July 25, between Junctions 37 and 38 at Tebay.
Police were called at around 9.25pm to reports that there was a concern for a person’s welfare.
The road was shut while emergency services were at the scene and reopened at around 11.30pm.
