An Eden mother and son travelled to London to support a landmark legal case seeking to change abortion laws relating to babies with Down’s Syndrome.
Cristina Bowman and her four-year-old son Max, of Milburn, travelled to the capital to hear the verdict outside the Royal Courts of Justice, which ruled against the challenge.
Currently in England, Wales and Scotland, there is a general 24 week time limit for abortion, but if the baby has a disability, including Down’s Syndrome, cleft lip and club foot, abortion is legal right up to birth.
Cristina has now released a video sharing the experience as fellow supporters responded to the High Court’s decision to reject the legal challenge.
