A man accused of a robbery at Penrith’s Go Outdoors store is to stand trial in front of a jury later this year.
Liam Green (28), of Leyland Road, Penwortham, Lancashire, faces one charge.
This alleges that he robbed a store worker of jackets at the town’s Ullswater Road outlet on 11th April.
Green appeared in front of a judge at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday. During a short hearing, he pleaded not guilty to three allegations.
As a result, he is due to go on trial at the crown court in the week of 31st October. It is estimated the hearing will last around two days.
In the meantime, Green was remanded in custody by Recorder Julian Shaw after an application for bail from his barrister was refused.
