Three motorists have been issued with tickets by police this morning for using mobile phones in Penrith while driving.
A spokesman for the Eden neighbourhood policing team said the drivers were stopped in the town centre for texting or engaging in phone calls.
The clampdown is part of a national mobile phone policing campaign.
