A registered sex offender has admitted more offences having flouted a court order with strict conditions which is aimed at keeping him out of trouble.
Jordan Goddard (23), who has previously lived at both Tebay and Penrith, appeared in front of magistrates at Carlisle on Saturday.
Goddard faced a total of five charges.
Four relate to him breaching conditions attached to a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) just days after it had been imposed, on 31st August.
Three of these involve the prohibited and repeated use of online chat applications while a fourth concerns the deletion of device internet history on three separate occasions.
A fifth charge has been brought after Goddard failed to comply with sex offender notification requirements through which he must keep police up to date with personal details and online use.
Court papers show that between 14th September and 4th October he failed to declare three online user names to officers as he should have done.
During Saturday’s court hearing, Goddard was represented by a solicitor and indicated guilty pleas to all five charges.
Magistrates committed his case for sentence to Carlisle Crown Court, where he is due to appear in front of a judge on 3rd November.
In the meantime Goddard, who gave a hostel address at Lowther Street, Carlisle, has been remanded in custody.
Goddard had been sentenced at the crown court in 2022 for accessing illegal images of children.
As part of his punishment for that offending, he was made subject to a SHPO which he went on to breach through illegal online use.
