
The A66 was closed for several hours on Sunday after a serious collision.
Emergency services were called to the incident, near Great Musgrave, at around 8.15am yesterday, Sunday, March 5.
Police closed the road in both directions following the incident, between Brough and Warcop, which involved two HGVs.
Three fire engines attended the incident and drivers were confined in each of the vehicles. Fire crews used equipment to release the casualties who were then left in the care of North West Ambulance Service. Fire crews were in attendance for about an hour and 35 minutes.
The road reopened at around 6.35pm.
