
Drivers in and around Eden have six National Highways road closures to watch out for:
- A66, from 8pm May 23 to 5am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Warcop to Brough bypass, traffic signals with convoy working for coring.
- A66, from 8pm May 24 to 5am May 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Brougham to Temple Sowerby, traffic signals and lane closures for Delflectograph survey.
- M6, from 8pm May 26 to 5am May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 40 to 39, Lane three closure for barrier repairs.
- M6, from 7pm June 5 to 9pm June 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 39 to 41, Lane three closures for barrier inspections, grasscutting/safety fence/drainage works.
Two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
- A66, from 7am April 18 to 6am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Troutbeck to Scales, contraflow for replacement of existing weather station.
- A66, from 8am December 17 2021 to 8pm December 16 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6, junction 40 Roundabout and northbound, main carriageway and A66 Kemplay bank TM Embargo every Friday daytime.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in its schedule.
