Unison members who work for the Environment Agency based in Penrith will be joining colleagues nationally in a strike next week.
The walkout will take place on Wednesday, 8th February, with a picket line at its Ghyll Mount offices on Gillan Way.
Members were balloted for industrial action late last year with members taking part in a full strike on 18th January.
Unison said pay at the Environment Agency has been “seriously eroded” after many years of below-inflation pay rises.
It said its members help protect communities from floods, water pollution and spills.
