A deep clean of Penrith’s town centre streets is set to start on February 21.
Chewing gum and other mess will be removed during an eight-night operation.
Eden Council has taken on a specialist company to “environmentally restore” town centre paving. The work will take place from 6pm to 6am.
Business owners in the town centre have been told their premises will be protected, while those operating in the night time economy will not be disrupted.
