A Penrith holiday firm has confirmed one of its coaches was involved in a crash in which a person died and 10 others were hospitalised.
Following the crash on Tuesday afternoon between a 52-seater coach and car near Cleddau Bridge in west Wales, a driver was cut free and airlifted to hospital.
Titterington Holidays, based in Penrith, has confirmed its coach was involved in the crash.
One of those taken to hospital was said to be in critical condition.
A major incident was declared by fire crews, with many bus passengers said to have suffered injuries.
One of the holiday firm owners said there were about 35 passengers who were on a five-day trip and who were a mix of ages.
Wales’ First Minister Mark Drakeford said: “My thoughts are with all those involved and my thanks to the first responders and emergency services working at the scene.”
