A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries in what police are investigating as an an incident of grievous bodily harm in Penrith.
The incident took place at about midday on June 14 on Burrowgate.
It is believed that the altercation involved two men.
A man in his 30s, from the Penrith area, was taken to Penrith hospital with serious injuries and was discharged the same day.
Officers are keen to speak to a man described as white, stocky build, with short greying hair, aged in his late 30s and was wearing blue shorts and a blue t-shirt at the time of the incident.
