A man shouted abuse at a driver and spat on her car near a zebra crossing in Penrith.
The incident happened at 5.15pm on Friday at the zebra crossing on King Street, near to Marks & Spencer.
A man described as aged 35 to 40, around 5ft 8in and of a slim build shouted abuse at a driver and spat on her car several times.
The man was wearing a bobble hat, black jacket and grey trousers and described as being dressed in a disorderly or unkempt manner.
People who were in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or were driving past and have dashcam footage are urged to report it to police.
