Love is in the air at Kirkby Stephen this week where a pop-up Valentine’s shop is opening.
Ahead of St Valentine’s Day on Monday, a new floristry and giftware shop – Rocke ‘n’ Roses is opening from Thursday until Saturday, giving those Upper Eden romantics some inspiration to woo their loved ones.
The shop, on Market Street, is the work of award-winning florist and born and bred Kirkby Stephen’s Daisy Rocke. 31.
The move is a real family affair for Daisy as her parents Paul and Penny previously ran Rattan and Rush from the premises for 18 years.
It was also the home of Rocke That Frock which was run by Daisy and her mum.
Rocke ‘n’ Roses will this week be offering an array of bouquets, house plants and more, with a focus on eco floristry, promoting a reduction in single use plastic and a move to use more in-season produce from local growers.
Following the pop-up event the new shop will close until March 17 when it will reopen launching as a permanent feature on the Kirkby Stephen high street.
