Pupils who attended a prom at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School are being advised to book a coronavirus test.
Anyone who attended the Kirkby Stephen Grammar School year 11 prom at the Roundthorn Hotel on August 10 or who collected results from the school two days later should book a test.
A statement from Cumbria County Council said: “A number of people have now tested positive and there are concerns infection could spread. If you test positive you must self-isolate.
“Friends and family of young people attendings these locations, and who have been in contact with them since, are advised to be vigilant and get tested at any sign of COVID-19 symptoms.”
