A footpath in Alston has been closed by police after loose slates on a roof are at danger of falling off due to high winds.
Eden police posted: “Please avoid the footpath past derelict St Paul’s Wesleyan Chapel at Townhead Alston. I have just closed the path due to slates about to fall off the roof in the high winds. Council are aware.”
