Firefighters worked through the night on Friday following a blaze at a flat in Penrith.
A spokesman for Penrith fire station said crews were called out at about 10.50pm to a flat which was on fire in the town.
“Due to the complexity of the incident further resources were requested from Lazonby and Carlisle crews, alongside police and ambulance crews.
“We brought the incident to a successful close around 7am on Saturday,” the spokesman said.
