Eden’s drivers will have seven sets of roadworks to avoid on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four sets of roadworks already in place are expected to carry on this week:
- A66, from 8am November 17 to 8am December 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 Kirkby Thore to Penrith, diversion route for northern gas.
- M6, from 8pm October 19 to 6am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound, junction 41 to junction 42, Lane closure and exit slip road closure for surfacing.
- M6, from 8pm November 12 2022 to 8pm April 28 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 39 to 40, Lane closure for VRS renewal.
- A66, from 8am November 18 2022 to 8pm December 31 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6, junction 40 Roundabout and northbound, main carriageway and A66 Kemplay bank TM Embargo every Friday daytime.
And a further three will begin over the next seven days:
- A66, from 8am December 1 to 5am December 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound, Dacre to Flusco, Lane one closure for patching works.
- M6, from 8am December 1 to 5am December 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 southbound, junction 39 to 38, Lane one and 1/2 closure and closure of, junction 39 entry slip road for patching works.
- A66, from 8am to 5pm on December 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Brough to Stainmore, Lane one closures for Remedial works to vehicle activated signs.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in its schedule.
