Eden’s motorists will have five road closures to avoid on the National Highways network.
The most recent closures are:
- M6, from 9pm May 16 to 6am May 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound, junction 40 to junction 41, Lane one and two closure.
- A66, from 8pm May 23 to 5am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Warcop to Brough Bypass, traffic signals with convoy working for coring.
- A66, from 8pm May 24 to 5am May 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Brougham to Temple Sowerby, traffic signals and lane closures for Delflectograph survey.
Two closures are already in place and are expected to carry on this week:
- A66, from 7am April 18 to 6am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Troutbeck to Scales, Contraflow for replacement of existing weather station.
- A66, from 8am December 17 2021 to 8pm December 16 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6, junction 40 Roundabout and northbound, main carriageway and A66 Kemplay bank TM Embargo every Friday daytime.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads are not be included in its schedule.
