A COVID-19 outbreak has hit Eden school pupils following its prom.
Cumbria County Council has issued an alert for students of Kirkby Stephen Grammar School.
A number of people have tested positive for the virus and there are concerns that it could spread, the authority said.
It said students who attended the year 11 prom at the Roundthorn Hotel in Penrith on August 10 or collected GCSE results on August 12 were advised to book a COVID-19 test.
Anyone who tests positive must self-isolate, it added.
It said: “Friends and family of young people attendings these locations, and who have been in contact with them since, are advised to be vigilant and get tested at any sign of COVID-19 symptoms.”
