Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
A 22-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were arrested after officers from Eden’s neighbourhood policing team, alongside dog section colleagues, attended an address on Carleton Hall Walk, Penrith, following concerns for the welfare of a dog today, Tuesday, June 25.
Eden police said: “Officers safely secured the dog and two occupants have been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
“Both currently remain in police custody assisting us with our enquiries and the dog is being examined by a vet.
“A quantity of suspected class B drugs were also located in the property.”
