COOK. — On Saturday, 18th March, Lilian, formerly of Barras, Stainmore, a much loved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Aged 85 years. Funeral service at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Thursday, 30th March, at 12-30pm. DICKINSON. — Peacefully, at home, on Friday, 17th March, after a short illness, William (Bill), of Kirkbarrow Hall, Greystoke, Penrith, loved husband of Elsie, dear father of Allan, Brian, Joyce and Linda, father-in-law of Cath, Jill, Brian and Edward, a loving grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Aged 97 years. Funeral service at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Friday, 31st March, at 11am. HANSON (née Broughton) — Nancy. Peacefully, at Croft Avenue Care Home, with her daughters by her side, on Monday, 20th March, dearly loved wife of the late Brian Hanson, much loved mum of Jacky and Louise, and the late Yvonne, grandmother and great-grandmother of Christopher, Elizabeth, Lucy, Layla and Leo. Aged 85 years. A Funeral service and cremation will take place at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Tuesday, 4th April, at 2pm. THOMPSON. — Suddenly, at home, on Saturday, 18th March, Jack, of Croft Avenue, Penrith, beloved husband of Betty, much loved brother, uncle and a good friend to many. Aged 93 years. In memoriam

ALDERSON — LAWSON. — Treasured memories of Anne, a much loved sister and auntie, passed away on 25th March, 2020. Also, Alice, a much loved mam and gran, passed away, on 1st April, 2020. We miss you both loads. Always in our thoughts — Audrey and family.

BIRKBECK. — Loving memories of our parents, Doris, died 27th March,1973, Len, 15th November, 1995. The world changes from year to year, But the memories of you both shall never pass away. — Pat, Hilary, Lesley and families.

CARRUTHERS. — Loving memories of Alan, died 24th March, 2020. A special husband, dad and grandad. Sadly missed — Kath, Tina, Neil and grandkids.

DEW. — Anne. Two years have passed since Anne died, on 29th March, 2021. We remember Anne every day and talk about her often, and her picture is in every room. Anne’s grave, down in Wales, is known as “Mum’s Place” and is always covered with flowers and her favourite animals. We look forward to being together again, one day, but in the meantime, we keep busy with the everyday things of life and seek to emulate Anne’s example of loving kindness and self-less concern for others. In that way, Anne continues to motivate and inspire us, because true love never dies. — Phil and family.

ELLIOTT. — Precious memories of Ann, a dear wife, loving mam, nana and sister. Sadly died 31st March, 2016. — Loved and always in our thoughts.

SMITH. — Loving memories of Albert, a special dad, and grandad, died 29th March, 2013. Sadly missed — Colin, Rita, Michael, James, and Harry. Always remembered.
