A seasonal spectacle awaits visitors to the National Trust’s Acorn Bank, near Temple Sowerby, today and tomorrow, where the woodlands are carpeted in snowdrops.
As Acorn Bank is traditionally closed at this time of year, this spectacle usually goes unseen by the public. This winter, however, it will be open for a limited time for visitors to enjoy the display.
The working watermill and gardens will also be open and Lakeland Coffee will be serving hot drinks and light bites. Entry is free for National Trust members, or there is a small charge for non-members.
Booking is recommended — visit the National Trust website for more information: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/acorn-bank
