Drivers are facing major delays on the A66 as festival-goers make their way to Kendal Calling.
Police said traffic was queuing on the A66 both ways at A686 Carleton Avenue (Kemplay Bank Roundabout).
There is also congestion on the M6 and the Center Parcs turn-off. There are also delays through Eamont Bridge along the A6.
