Former Durham Academy youngster Brodie Glendinning will make his Cumbria debut in the three day NCCA Championship game against Hertfordshire.
Glendinning, 19, has just been released by Durham and the Penrith-based seamer is given a quick call up by injury-hit Cumbria.
Paul Hindmarch is resting after being troubled by a niggling injury and James McGown, who made his Championship debut in the win over Bucks, is unavailable.
Glendinning, who plays his club cricket at Chester-le-Street, is one of three changes to the starting line-up as both Sam Sharp and Nico Watt return while Mike Slack also drops out with a tendon injury.
Cumbria currently lie fourth of five in Division Two East with Bedfordshire already assured of promotion 30 points clear.
But the other four sides are separated by only five points going into their final games with Cumbria currently trailing their hosts Hertfordshire by just four.
The Cumbria team is: Gary Pratt (Richmondshire captain), Ben Davidson (Carlisle), Evan Williams (Sedbergh School), Brodie Glendinning (Chester-le-Street), Sam Dutton (Blackpool), Matthew Sempill (Cockermouth), Drew Postlethwaite (wk Haverigg), Sam Sharp (Cockermouth), Nico Watt (Wigton), Matthew Siddall (Blackpool), Wyll Stanway (Furness). 12th man: Nathan Waterston (Furness).
The three-day game starts at the Hertford club on Sunday.
