Penrith Football Club have confirmed the return of Jim Nichols as their first team manager.
The Blues were left searching for a new boss after Darren Edmondson resigned from his post 10 days ago.
Edmondson has since been named manager of Northern Premier League side Workington, with his assistant, Richard Prokas, following him to Borough Park.
Northern League club Penrith have acted swiftly to line up a replacement, with the return of Nichols confirmed this morning.
Nichols had a previous spell as first XI manager at Frenchfield Park, succeeding Matt Henney in 2015-16, before leaving just after the start of the 2017-18 season, when he was replaced by Kyle May.
A Penrith spokesman said that Nichols would be assisted by Alan Ingles, the duo having previous been in charge of fellow Northern League Division I outfit Carlisle City.
“They both spent five years at Carlisle City achieving promotion and impressive cup runs,” said the Penrith spokesman.
“Both Jim and Alan have impressive CVs and we sincerely hope they enjoy being part of our beloved club. Welcome, lads, from everyone connected to club, players, coaches, and supporters.”
