Stu Forrester continued his impressive switch from goalkeeper to striker as he bagged five goals in a week.
Forrester netted a hat-trick for Greystoke Seconds in last Saturday’s 4-4 Division IV draw against Burton Thistle after his side had trailed 3-0, before adding two more in a 3-2 victory over Penrith Royal on Wednesday. Dale Bowman also scored in both games.
Goalkeeper Forrester suffered a hand injury at the start of this season and has made the switch to outfield player during 45-minute stints for Greystoke with impressive recent success.
“I did dabble as a striker when I was a kid, but have been playing in goals right through senior football apart from cameos at six-a-side up top,” he said.
