Elite level Eden triathlete Stuart Robinson continued his impressive gold rush as he was crowned British and English age group champion.
Stuart, from Appleby, was in sprint race action at the Blenheim Palace Triathlon on Sunday. It was an event which combined the English and British championships for the first time.
And the 62-year-old celebrated a double title triumph as he clinched first place in the 60-64 years class after a swim, cycle and run. That added two more gold medals to the multiple age group title-winner’s vast collection.
Stuart plans to compete in the English Aquathlon — running and swimming — at the end of July before targeting a number of less profile events.

“I’m having a quieter year than the last three, which have been a bit of a high,” said Stuart, who has celebrated world and European triumphs during that period, along with successive British title wins.
He thanked family members, Solo Active UK for help with Arena kit, GLL Sport Foundation and Appleby Leisure Centre for support he had received.
