Solomons Europe Pacastle Deopt

An excellent reputation and strong relationships with some of the biggest names in business has seen Solomons Europe forge ahead with its ambitious growth plans for Cumbria despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are a dynamic firm of quantity surveyors and procurement and commercial professionals that specialises in supporting clients and contractors delivering major power, infrastructure, engineering and utilities developments across the UK.

In Cumbria, our 14-strong team is currently supporting two multi-billion-pound frameworks at Sellafield, as well as contractors delivering projects at the BAE Systems site in Barrow.

We have worked on behalf of major contractors and specialist subcontractors on various United Utilities’ programmes across the region, including the £300 million West Cumbria Water Supplies Project, and supported the West of Duddon Sands offshore wind farm project off the coast of Barrow.

The team has welcomed four new faces in the last 12 months and has launched a fresh recruitment drive for three new positions:

  • Supply Chain & Procurement Executive – Innovation Champion
  • Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Project Quantity Surveyor.

All will have an important role to play in our bright future.

Providing expert support and advice to multiple clients, along with our in-house project teams, our new Supply Chain & Procurement Executive will ensure motivated supply chains not only deliver our clients’ projects on time and on budget, but also deliver meaningful social impact.

This newly created senior role comes with a high level of responsibility and, as the job title says, will require fresh thinking and an innovate approach.

With a strong track record of successfully running high value projects from inception to completion, our Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide leadership and expert support to some of the biggest developments taking place in the county.

And our Project Quantity Surveyor will get their teeth stuck into supporting challenging projects, gaining invaluable experience to help them kick on their career.

These exciting roles can be based at our striking new Papcastle Depot offices near Cockermouth or the well-established offices close to the M6 in Crooklands near Kendal.

When you join Solomons, we make a commitment to your training and development, health and wellbeing. We pride ourselves on the supportive and inclusive culture we have built and the fact that our entire Board of Directors is homegrown.

We are acutely aware that the quality of our people has been key to our success and place great emphasis on attitude in addition to skills and experience.

To learn more about what sets us apart and to apply for these exciting new opportunities visit https://www.solomonseurope.com/join-us/

Be part of our journey.
