Yanwath youngsters enjoyed a fun day of fire safety ahead of Bonfire Night.
Yesterday officers from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service visited Yanwath Primary School for an assembly before giving the youngsters looking around an engine and even using the hose.
Early years lead, Matthew Crouch, said: “The children enjoyed getting to share their knowledge of bonfire and firework safety, as well as learning new information.
“Lots of the children were excited by see the fire fighters in full uniform and getting to see the fire engine.
“The highlight for all the children was getting to use the fire hose.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to both the Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and PCOS John Nicholson for joining us and hosting a fantastic afternoon.”
