A driver of a white van was stopped by police officers after using his mobile phone while driving in Penrith.
When spoken to by officers on Tuesday he admitted to using the photo app Snapchat.
Eden Police said: “Using a mobile phone behind the wheel makes you four times more likely to crash and makes your reaction time 30 per cent slower.
“In the recent Police and Communities together survey for Penrith you told us that Road Safety was a major concern, officers will continue to prosecute for this offence and address road safety.”
