Work will continue this weekend in Penrith to help speed up the gas improvements currently cutting the town in two.
Northern Gas Network teams will be on site on Middlegate and Brunswick Road tomorrow, Saturday January 20, as temperatures begin to rise above freezing.
The town’s Business Improvement District sent a message to its members to say the rise in temperature meant concrete could now be mixed – the freezing conditions prevented that happening.
“Concrete on the carriageway will begin today and the rest of the reinstatement will also be carried out subsequently,” said BID.
