A Lake District hotel is gearing up to reopen following a multi-million-pound revamp.
The Inn Collection Group’s Ullswater Inn at Glenridding has undergone a 12-month renovation programme, with a new pub and extra bedrooms created.
It is due to reopen on Monday, February 12.
Acquired by The Inn Collection Group in 2022, The Ullswater Inn has a heritage of more than 150 years of providing hospitality in the village.
Transforming the former reception and communal areas has created a traditional-style pub complete with log burning stoves, and seating to provide 254 covers, with feature windows.
An outdoor seating area for 140 is next to Glenridding Beck has also been created.
Alterations have also been made to the existing bedrooms, whilst the removal of a redundant spa area has created additional bed spaces, taking the total number of rooms from 36 to 57.
As part of the refurbishment, a new canopied entrance has also been built.
The Inn Collection Group’s CEO Sean Donkin said: “Exceptional locations are very much a group USP and The Ullswater Inn has this in spades.
“It is a classic Lakeland site with a strong reputation earned over the last century and a half and one that we are aiming to enhance with our careful refurbishment.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming guests again after a year-long refurbishment and are confident that they are going to be delighted by what the inn will offer.”
