
Six Lake District hotels have been named among the best boutique venues in the UK.
The Top 50 – voted for by more than 100 leading hospitality experts, hoteliers, travel writers and influencers – is put together by respected industry publishers William Reed.
The North West dominated the list, with the Gilpin Hotel and Lake House, Windermere, in 14th place. It also won the Unique Experience Award.
Another Place – the Lake in Ullswater came in at 18th place, while Rothay Manor in Ambleside was 28th. Hipping Hall, in Kirkby Lonsdale was 38th, the Samling in Windermere was 46th and Linthwaite House, also Windermere, was 48th.
The list was first compiled in 2020 and published in 2021.
