Two elderly tourists were taken to hospital after a crash in Bampton.
Emergency services attended a two-vehicle incident at the northern entrance to the village yesterday at around 11.30am.
A blue Mazda driven by a 53-year-old man from Billingham was in a collision with a Yamaha motorcycle with two riders.
A spokeswoman for Cumbria Police said: “The riders, a 79-year-old male and elderly female, from Devon, were taken to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, with minor injuries.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any relating information can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit quoting incident number 115 of August 30.”
Traffic was delayed for over an hour as emergency services attended.
