Under-age children were sold vape products at three Penrith premises during an Eden Police test purchase operation.
On Thursday evening, Eden Police carried out the under-cover operation to see if town retailers were complying with the law over the sale of vapes.
A total of 16 premises were visited in and around the town centre and three failed the test as they sold products to children aged under 16.
Eden Police said: “These premises will be revisited by the Penrith neighbourhood policing team PC and reminded of the challenge 25 scheme and the laws around selling vape products to anyone under the age of 18.”
