Three people have been arrested – and banned from entering Cumbria – after a quad bike was stolen.
Cumbria police’s rural crime team said it had taken robust action following the reports about suspicious activity.
On August 2, three men were arrested near Pooley Bridge in Eden on suspicion of theft of a quad bike and their vehicle seized for use in crime.
A stolen quad bike was recovered nearby.
The team said that on July 29, two men had also been arrested near Meathop, in South Cumbria, on suspicion of going equipped and their vehicle seized for use in crime.
All five were not from Cumbria, police said, and were released on bail, excluding them from entering Cumbria.
