A Lake District mountain rescue team was called out this morning after three abandoned tents were found near a tarn.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called at 10.30am today, Sunday January 5.
A fell walker, who had been camping out near Angle Tarn, called Cumbria police when they found the tents.
Last night, the fell walker saw lights at the same location and a Patterdale mountain rescue deputy leader had also seen lights descending the fell near that location.
The team added: “With no further reports of missing people, the team were stood down. Please consider the weather, what equipment you have and if you have the correct experience for your adventure.”
