Two devices bought to monitor drivers’ speed in an Eden village have been stolen.
The speed watch units, bought in 2020 by Clifton Community Council as part of efforts to tackle speeding in the area, were removed overnight.
Recently, signs linked to the Community Speed watch group was also removed from a location on Valley Road.
The units cannot be used for any other purpose and do have a data link established, that the manufacture is trying to use to track the devices’ location.
Anyone with CCTV is asked to check for anything suspicious. It is believed they were removed at around 1am.
Cumbria police have been informed and anyone with information can report it by calling 101, quoting crime log number 92 of 24/04/2022.
