Voluntary Social Car Scheme needs volunteer drivers in Lazonby and Kirkoswald.
The Voluntary Social Car Scheme is funded by Cumbria County Council and provides transport to members of the community of any age (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult) who cannot make their journey by public or private transport.
Volunteer drivers use their own car to provide journeys which are co-ordinated locally. Expenses are reimbursed and passengers pay a contribution towards the cost of the transport.
