The River Eden, near Great Salkeld, takes the starring role in a new advertising video for Lloyds Bank — along with some magnificent black horses and a group of wild swimmers.
The beauty of the river is highlighted in the video, which was shot over several days in May and is part of the bank’s new Ready-Made Investments campaign.
It was directed by award-winning American filmmaker and commercial director Henry-Alex Rubin and features a cast of experienced wild swimmers, together with the main actress who enjoys swimming in her spare time.
Also included are eight of the bank’s trademark Friesian black horses, running above the riverbank alongside the swimmers, and a viaduct carrying the Carlisle Settle railway line over the Eden.
The advert was filmed in co-ordination with marine and diving experts and an open water swimming coach.
Victoria Handley, senior marketing manager at Lloyds Bank, said: “Our new advert was filmed entirely at the River Eden, showcasing the beauty of this wonderful location.
“The natural environment has myriad benefits for mental and physical health, building confidence to try new things and improving our wellbeing — fantastically demonstrated by the organised wild swimming in the advert and, of course, accompanied by the power and beauty of the iconic Lloyds Bank black horses.”
