Kendal Calling has finally revealed its line-up for 2023 after teasing fans with months of silence.
Headlining this year’s main stage will be Nile Rodgers & Chic, Kasabian, Royal Blood and Blossoms alongside over 80 more artists including the likes of the iconic Rick Astley and folk-punk favourite Frank Turner.
The festival is already heading towards being a sell-out event, with a record of 20,000 people signing up for pre-sale tickets.
Festival co-founders Andy Smith and Ben Robinson said: “After an absolutely stunning festival last year, we cannot wait to get back in those fields! The line-up is looking absolutely stacked. All we need now is a bit of sun and we’ve got the perfect weekend!”
Other artists set to perform at the festival include Kaiser Chiefs with their main stage-worthy belters, The Lathums, Example and Confidence Man, who are set to deliver their feel-good, dance-pop to keep eventgoers on their feet.
Happy Mondays will be performing as Saturday’s special guest opener, with northern star Melanie C, The Enemy, and The Amazons, as well as KT Tunstall, Torn hitmaker Natalie Imbruglia, Scouting for Girls, Reverend & The Makers, The Hunna and The Murder Capital.
The Lottery Winners will make a return to the fields joined by Kiefer Sutherland, Vistas, We Are Scientists, Rachel Chinouriri and Alice Merton along with tropical vibes trio Cassia.
Dance music royalty Annie Mac will be joined by Mike Skinner, Paul Woolford, DJ Yoda, Bklava and Krafty Kuts B2B A.Skillz. One of the UK’s biggest podcasters JaackMaate will also make his first ever festival appearance as JaackMaate’s Happy Hour Live.
While the festival’s theme is still yet to be announced, organisers have confirmed the Saturday parade will be back, featuring top carnival performers.
A firm family favourite in the festival calendar, Kendal’s children’s area Kids Calling is also returning with live theatre shows and giant inflatables.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale from 10am on Friday January 27, with any remaining tickets going on general sale from 10am on Saturday January 28.
Kendal Calling is returning to the fields from July 27 to July 30 in Lowther Deer Park.
