The way is being paved for the re-opening of The Agricultural Hotel in Penrith.
Valiant Pub Company Limited hsa applied to Westmorland and Furness Council for a premises licence in respect of the Castlegate-based pub.
The application, if granted, would mean the pub could serve alcohol between 10am and midnight, Sunday to Thursday, and 10am to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Provision is also being asked for in respect of live music, recorded music and indoor sporting events on Monday to Sunday, from 10am to 11pm.
The Valiant Pub Company was founded in December 2021 by Industry leaders Gerry Carroll and Mark McGinty.
It also owns the Pennine Hotel in Kirkby Stephen, which offers six rooms in which people can stay.
